The 3M™ ESPE™ Lava™ Crowns and bridges system is an innovative CAD/CAM technology using a zirconium oxide base.  The durability and esthetics of Lava restorations represent the optimum in all-ceramic systems.  Preparations require removal of less tooth structure, and cementation can be accomplished using proven, conventional techniques.  Colorable frameworks that are thin and translucent ensure a natural and vital appearance.  The result is a restoration ideal for single crowns to 6-unit bridges, and splinted crowns that offer strength, stability and outstanding marginal fit.   Extensive scientific data on lava crowns and bridges can be found at: www.3mespe.com/lavastudies.

Announcing the Newest “Employee” at Oral Restorative Prosthetics

We are pleased to introduce to you the 3M ESPE Lava Crown and Bridge System

With the installation of the Lava System and the training of our technicians, Oral Restorative Prosthetics has become an Authorized Lava Milling Center.

It took a few months of planning, construction, and thinking; cutting a BIG hole in the roof; an 80-ton crane and a lot of grunting to accomplish the task of bringing in a 1-ton piece of equipment.  However, we think that the effort will be worth it.

Lava crowns and bridges are the future of dentistry.  They have become the proven replacement for the more traditional (old school) porcelain to metal restoration for most instances.  High strength and esthetics combine to give your patients a restoration without the issues that can arise from PFM’s and FGC’s.
